No matter who the person, no one should ever be put in a position where they feel such a need to take something as important as their own life.
I met Dillon Rivers on the Mistake Tour with Confession/Thy Art is Murder/Lovers Grave/Wish for Wings on the 1.05.10.
I talked to him about how much I loved his vocals and how I would kill to have a scream like his. He just replied ‘I practiced and practiced and now i’m living the dream man, I have friends and family that love me and people that look up to me. I couldn’t be happier’. I will never forget one single word he said and the smile he gave me.
He then persuaded me into buying a shirt that I absolutely love and wear all the time, I truly feel a deep sadness in knowing that somewhere inside himself he wasn’t happy and his life had to end this way.
I send my best wishes to his friends, family and most of all his brothers in Lovers Grave.
He will be missed deeply and never forgotten by people that were close to him and by people like myself who only met him once and felt touched by him.Rest in Peace Dillon Rivers.
